Love Yourself, Not Money

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Money can’t buy you love.” Although it may sound cliché, the statement rings true. Many people believe that money can solve their problems, even their issues with love and happiness. Money can solve certain problems, especially if you’re in debt or financial trouble; however, the emphasis that is placed on money by society is unhealthy.

Sure, money can pay your bills and buy you the material items you desire, but if you’re generally an unhappy person or suffer from unhealthy relationships, no amount of money will change this. The key is to love yourself without connecting your self-worth to your bank account.
Ways to Love Yourself
So, how do you begin loving yourself? The following are a few ways that you can practice self-love and boost your self-image and worth.

Practice Self-Care
Self-care is a relatively new term that is used to describe the act of caring for one’s self. Too often we put our careers, family, and financial issues at the forefront. This can lead to feelings of inadequacy and unhappiness.

Start loving yourself by taking better care of yourself. This could be as simple as taking a daily walk in the park or a yoga class. The main aspect of self-care is to develop an attitude that fosters well-being and peace.

End Toxic Relationships
Certain individuals can make us doubt ourselves or feel low. One of the best ways to be happy is to avoid these people. You may not be able to avoid your boss or certain relatives, but you can try to decrease the amount of time you spend interacting with them.

Smile More
Something as simple as smiling can influence your mood. How do you feel when you smile? Do you instantly feel happier, loved? Well, you should.

Conclusion
It’s easy to link love with money. Many people assume that by having more money, they’ll have more friends, be popular and loved. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you want to love, you must first learn to love yourself. In doing so, you’ll attract people who love you, which is something that no amount of money can achieve.

You are so true. But the fact of the matter is, no matter whether you love or hate money, you can't avoid money. I think many individuals are highly tranquil with the proposition of money, simply because they think that without it they can reach their ambitions. From my perspective, they are somehow wrong in this sense. Ya, money can help us in buying our desired stuff, but it can't buy contentment, satisfaction, peace for us. The only thing that can give all these things is self-love. Honestly, for me, self-love is more important and wealthy than money. Thus, everybody should love themselves deeply, by which they can live a fulfilling life and build a strong relationship with others.
